Issue
Water may enter the fuel pressure sensor connector when high-pressure washing is performed in the engine compartment. This can cause an abnormality in the fuel pressure sensor, leading to increased fuel injection volume and, in the worst case, engine damage.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, a waterproof cover is installed over the fuel pressure sensor connector, and the engine ECU control program is reprogrammed to the corrected specification.
