Defect

The exterior open/close switch for the power sliding door contains a rubber cap that cracked due to a manufacturing defect. Moisture enters the switch through the crack and causes unintended electrical contact. Under specific conditions—such as when the vehicle is stationary or traveling at very low speed—the sliding door may open or close without driver input.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the sliding door open/close switch with a conforming part.

状況

電動スライドドアの車外開閉用スイッチにおいて、製造不良によりゴムキャップに亀裂が入っているものがあり、亀裂部からスイッチ内部に浸入した水分により通電することがある。そのため、停車時や極低速走行時等の特定条件下で、意図せずスライドドアが開閉するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、スライドア開閉用スイッチを良品と交換する。
