The authoritative source of vehicle recall information remains Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) public registry. The authoritative source of grade and model information is each manufacturer's official database. Where information shown on this site differs from these authoritative sources, the authoritative source prevails.

3. Estimated Production Window

The "Estimated Build Date" shown on report pages is calculated by intersecting the recorded production windows of the recall filings that include your chassis serial number. It is an estimate, not a guarantee of the actual factory build date. For legal, customs, or insurance purposes, please consult the official vehicle export certificate or the chassis plate.

4. Recall Coverage

We display every recall (リコール) and improvement campaign (改善対策) recorded in the MLIT public registry for the chassis numbers in their listed ranges. If your chassis is not associated with any recall in our database, it means none have been filed with MLIT for that range — not that the vehicle is necessarily free of all known issues. Consult an authorized service center if you have concerns about a specific vehicle.

5. Grade and Model Information

Grade and model information is retrieved live from each manufacturer's official database. Information availability and detail level varies by manufacturer. Commercial trucks (Hino, Isuzu, UD Trucks, Mitsubishi Fuso, Nissan Diesel) do not offer chassis-based grade lookup and are limited to recall information. Daihatsu returns grade information without vehicle name; in those cases, the vehicle name is inferred from the chassis prefix using our model dictionary.
