Defect
In the internal motor of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve, operating frequency during stop-and-go traffic and similar conditions exceeds the design assumption, causing the motor's commutator brushes to wear prematurely. This results in poor electrical continuity, and the EGR valve may stop operating. As a result, the engine warning lamp illuminates and exhaust emissions may no longer meet regulatory limits.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the EGR valve with the corrected part.

状況
EGR(排気ガス再循環装置)バルブの内部モーターにおいて、渋滞路走行等における作動頻度が想定を超えており、内部モーターの配電ブラシが早期に摩耗し、導通不良となり、EGRバルブが作動しなくなることがある。そのため、エンジン警告灯が点灯し、排出ガスが規制値を満足しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、EGRバルブを対策品と交換する。
