Defect
On heavy-duty trucks equipped with the 6R20 engine, the adjust screws of the exhaust rocker arms have insufficient lubrication performance. During extended idling, the adjust screws wear and fracture prematurely, causing abnormal noise and reduced power output. Continued operation in this condition can cause the valve bridge to fall out and damage the engine. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust rocker arm assembly with the corrected part.

状況
６Ｒ２０ 型エンジンを搭載した大型トラックにおいて、排気ロッカーアームのアジャストスクリューの潤滑性能が不十分なため、長時間のアイドル運転を行うと早期にアジャストスクリューが摩耗及び破損して異音や出力の低下が生じることがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、バルブブリッジが脱落してエンジンが破損し、最悪の場合、走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排気ロッカーアーム一式を対策品に交換する。
