Defect
On the cooling system of large tractors, an improperly selected fan shaft pulley bearing allows the shaft to tilt during high-speed operation, reducing the bearing's sealing performance. This allows grease inside the pulley to leak, leading to insufficient lubrication, abnormal bearing wear, and bearing seizure. In the worst case, the fan may contact the radiator, causing coolant to leak and rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fan shaft pulley bracket assembly—including the bracket and pulley—with an assembly incorporating a corrected bearing. Additionally, inspect the fan belt, fan, and radiator; replace any components showing damage attributable to this defect with new parts.

状況
大型トラクタの冷却装置において、ファンシャフトプーリーベアリングの選定が不適切なため、高速走行時にシャフトが傾き、プーリーベアリングの密閉性が低くなることがある。そのため、プーリー内のグリースが漏れ、潤滑不良でベアリングが異常摩耗して、ベアリングが焼き付き、最悪の場合、ファンがラジエータに干渉して冷却水が漏れ、走行不能になるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、対策品のベアリングを組込んだファンシャフトプーリーブラケット一式(ブラケット、プーリー等)に交換する。また、ファンベルト、ファン、ラジエータを点検し、本不具合による損傷が認められた部品は新品と交換する。
