Defect
On trucks, the turn signal switch was designed with insufficient consideration for dust resistance, leaving some units with low dust-exclusion capability. Dust can intrude and cause an insulating layer to form on the contact surfaces, resulting in a conduction failure. As a result, the turn signals may stop operating.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the turn signal switch assembly with the corrected part.

状況
トラックの方向指示器スイッチにおいて、設計時の検討が不適切なため、耐塵性能が低いものがある。そのため、塵埃が侵入し接点表面に絶縁物質が生成されて導通不良が生じると、方向指示器が作動しなくなる。
改善措置
