Defect
The air conditioning compressor is filled with an incorrect quantity of compressor oil, causing insufficient lubrication inside the compressor during air conditioning operation. Continued use can result in internal seizure and compressor lock. In the worst case, this may cause the engine to stall while driving when engine speed drops.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the compressor. On vehicles found to have the affected compressor, replenish the compressor oil and reprogram the engine control unit with the corrected software. If internal seizure is confirmed, replace the compressor with a serviceable unit.

状況
エアコンのコンプレッサにおいて、コンプレッサオイルの充てん量が不適切なため、エアコン使用時にコンプレッサ内の潤滑が不足することがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、コンプレッサ内部が焼き付き、コンプレッサがロックし、最悪の場合、エンジン回転数が低下時に走行中エンストすることがある。
改善措置
全車両、コンプレッサを確認し、該当するコンプレッサを搭載する車両にはコンプレッサオイルを補充し、エンジン制御コントローラを修正プログラムに書換える。 なお、コンプレッサの焼き付きが確認された場合は、コンプレッサを良品と交換する。
