Defect
On the rear wheel speed sensor of four-wheel-drive vehicles, the resin material used in the sensor is inappropriate, allowing it to absorb moisture. This causes a short circuit in the sensor's internal electronic components, producing abnormal output signals. As a result, the ABS warning lamp may illuminate and the ABS function may deactivate, or the speedometer may stop operating.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the identification number of the rear wheel speed sensor. If a pre-corrected part is installed, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
四輪駆動車のリヤ車輪速センサーにおいて、センサーの樹脂材質が不適切なため、樹脂が吸水することがある。そのため、センサー内部の電子部品がショートし、センサーが異常な信号を出力して、ＡＢＳ警告灯が点灯して機能が停止または、速度計が作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リヤ車輪速センサーの識別番号を確認し、対策前品が装着されていた場合は対策品と交換する。
