Defect
Analysis of field-returned parts by the component supplier identified abnormal internal pressure output in certain driver-side airbag inflators that may lead to abnormal deployment. Although the root cause has not been determined, all inflators of this type manufactured up to a specific date will be replaced with substitute parts as a precautionary measure.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected inflators with substitute parts. All removed inflators will be collected in their entirety for root cause investigation.

状況
運転者席用エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、部品メーカーで市場回収品を調査した結果、異常展開に繋がるおそれがあるインフレータ容器内圧の異常出力が認められた。このため、原因は判明していないが、一定の期間までに製造した同タイプのインフレータについて、予防的措置として当該インフレータを代替品に交換する。
改善措置
全車両、当該インフレータを代替品と交換する。なお、交換部品については全数回収して原因調査を実施する。
