Defect
Analysis of field-returned driver-seat airbag inflators has confirmed that certain inflator housings have inadequate airtight seals. Over extended use, atmospheric moisture may penetrate the inflator interior, causing the propellant to absorb moisture and fail to deploy normally during airbag deployment.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, as a precautionary measure, replace the inflator with a new unit. All removed parts will be collected for root cause analysis.

状況
運転者席用エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、市場回収品を調査した結果、インフレータ容器に気密不良のものがあることを確認した。そのため、長期間使用する過程で大気中の水分がインフレータ内部に侵入し、ガス発生剤が吸湿してエアバッグ展開時に正常に展開しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、予防措置としてインフレータを新品と交換する。 なお、交換部品については全数回収して原因調査を実施する。
