Defect
During the manufacturing process of the ignition key cylinder, lead exceeding the allowable specification was inadvertently mixed into some units. When moisture-laden mud or similar contaminants enter the cylinder, material strength decreases. Continued use in this condition may cause the key cylinder to break, making key operation impossible.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ignition key cylinder with a conforming part. Door and other key cylinders must also be replaced with new parts at the same time.

状況
イグニッションキーシリンダーの製造工程において、規格を超える鉛が誤って混入したものがある。そのため、水分を含んだ泥等が浸入すると、強度が低下し、そのまま使用を続けると、キーシリンダーが破損し、キー操作ができなくなる。
改善措置
全車両、イグニッションキーシリンダーを良品と交換する。なお、ドア等のキーシリンダーもあわせて新品に交換する。
