Defect
The internal coil of the engine crankshaft angle sensor has insufficient durability. Repeated high-rpm operation—such as full-throttle acceleration in a low gear—subjects the sensor to excessive vibration, which may cause the coil to experience a broken wire. As a result, the engine may stall while driving or fail to start.
Corrective action
(1) On all vehicles, replace the crankshaft angle sensor with the corrected part. As an interim measure until parts are available, reprogram the engine control software to reduce the maximum engine speed limit. Once the corrected sensor is installed, reprogram the engine control software back to the original specification.

状況
エンジンのクランク角センサにおいて、内部コイルの耐久性が不足しているため、低速ギア使用による全開加速走行など、エンジン回転数が高い運転を繰返すと、クランク角センサに過大な振動が加わり当該コイルが断線する場合がある。そのため、走行中にエンジンが停止する、あるいは、エンジンが始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
（１）全車両、クランク角センサを対策品と交換する。但し、部品の準備に時間を要することから、部品が供給出来るまでの暫定措置として、エンジン制御プログラムをエンジン最高回転数を下げる仕様に書き換え、後日クランク角センサを対策品と交換し、エンジン制御プログラムを元の仕様に書き換える。
