Defect
In the airbag control computer, improper manufacturing of the acceleration sensor causes cracks to form in the internal circuit that outputs the deployment signal, resulting in a broken wire or disconnection. This may cause the airbag control computer to output a false deployment signal, causing inadvertent airbag deployment.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the serial number of the airbag control computer. On affected vehicles, replace the airbag control computer with a conforming unit.

状況
エアバッグ制御コンピュータにおいて、加速度センサの製造が不適切なため、当該センサ内部の展開信号を出力する回路に亀裂が生じ、回路が断線されることがある。そのため、エアバッグ展開信号を誤って出力し、意図せずエアバッグが展開するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エアバッグ制御コンピュータの製造番号を確認し、該当する車両はエアバッグ制御コンピュータを良品と交換する。
