Defect
The airbag control computer contains a capacitor manufactured using an improper process, which may cause an internal short circuit. Continued use in this condition may prevent the airbag and seat belt pretensioners from deploying during a collision that requires them to activate.
Corrective action
Replace the airbag control computer on all vehicles with a known-good unit.

状況
エアバッグコンピュータにおいて、コンデンサの製造工程が不適切なため、内部ショートが発生することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、作動すべき衝突時にエアバッグ及びシートベルトプリテンショナが作動しないおそれがある。
改善措置
