Defect
The engine ECU control program is incorrect, causing the system to erroneously detect the fuel pump pressure control valve as stuck. When this occurs, the engine warning light illuminates and engine output is reduced. In addition, exhaust emissions may exceed the regulatory limit.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine ECU with the corrected software. Also, reset the learned value for fuel pump discharge volume.

状況
エンジンECUの制御プログラムが不適切なため、燃料ポンプの圧力調整弁が固着したと誤判定することがある。その場合、エンジン警告灯が点灯して出力が制限されるとともに、排出ガスが基準値を超過するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンECU のプログラムを対策品に書き替える。また、燃料ポンプ吐出量の学習値をリセットする。
