Defect

On vehicles equipped with the 4B10 engine, the engine ECU software is incorrect. During idling, airflow volume may be insufficient or the air-fuel mixture may run lean, causing the engine to stall at or near idle speed.

Corrective action

Reprogram the engine ECU with the corrected/updated software on all vehicles. Additionally, if a review of engine ECU service data shows that idle airflow volume has dropped below the specified value, clean the throttle body valve.

状況

4B10エンジン搭載車において、エンジンECUのプログラムが不適切なため、アイドリング時の空気量が不足または空燃比が薄くなる場合があり、アイドル回転付近でエンストに至るおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、エンジンECUのプログラムを対策品に書き換える。 また、エンジンECUサービスデータの確認により、アイドル空気量が所定値より低下している場合は、スロットルボディのバルブ清掃を実施する。
