Defect
Inadequate process controls during manufacture of the integrated circuit (IC) in the engine ECU may allow internal wiring within the IC to develop a broken wire due to temperature cycling during service. This causes an abnormality in fuel pump control, resulting in improper fuel delivery. In the worst case, the engine may fail to start or stall while driving.
Corrective action
Inspect the lot number of the engine ECU on all vehicles and replace the engine ECU with a conforming unit if the lot number falls within the affected range.

状況
エンジンECUのIC製造工程管理が不適切なため、使用過程での環境温度変化により、IC内部の配線が断線することがある。そのため、燃料ポンプ制御に異常が生じ、燃料が適正に供給されなくなり、最悪の場合、始動不能または走行中エンストに至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンECUのロット番号を確認し、該当するロットの場合はエンジンECUを良品に交換する。
