Defect
The screws securing the mirror head to the mirror base lack a thread-locking feature. Vibration during normal use and gradual relaxation from strong external forces cause the screws to loosen. Continued operation in this condition can allow the mirror head to detach from the base, in the worst case preventing the driver from monitoring rear traffic conditions.
Corrective action
Replace the screws securing the mirror head to the base with adhesive-coated screws on all vehicles, and torque them to the specified value.

状況
ドアミラーにおいて、ドアミラー本体とベースを締結するネジに緩み止めが無いため、使用過程における振動や強めの外力によるへたりで当該ネジが緩み、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、ドアミラー本体がベースから外れ、後方の交通状況等が確認できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ドアミラー本体とベースを締結しているネジを接着剤付に交換し、規定トルクで締付ける。
