Defect
Improper execution of the fuel tank installation process results in insufficient torque on the front fuel tank mounting nuts. Continued use allows the nuts to loosen and fall off. In the worst case, a crack develops near the rear mounting point of the fuel tank, causing a fuel leak. (Note: This notification adds newly identified vehicles to the recall originally filed on April 2, 2003, as Notification No. 934.)
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the front fuel tank mounting point. If no play is present, retighten the fuel tank mounting nuts to the specified torque. If play is present, replace the fuel tank assembly with a new part.

状況
燃料装置において、燃料タンクを取り付ける工程が不適切なため、燃料タンク前側取付け ナットの締付け力が不十分なものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該ナット が緩んで脱落し、最悪の場合、燃料タンクの後側取付部付近に亀裂が発生し、燃料が漏れ るおそれがある。 （備考） 本届出は、平成15年4月2日「届出934」のリコール届出に新たに対象車を追加するもので ある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料タンク前側取付部を点検し、取付部にガタの無いものは燃料タンク取付けナ ットを正規トルクで締付け、取付部にガタが有るものは燃料タンクアッセンブリを新品と 交換する。
