Defect
The crankshaft oil seal installed in the engine front case has reduced retention force due to a combination of machining variation in the front case and variation in the oil seal press-fit depth. As a result, the oil seal may work loose and allow engine oil to leak gradually, illuminating the oil pressure warning light. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, internal engine components may seize, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the oil seal mounting area. If no oil leak is present, install an oil seal retention plate on the front case. If an oil leak is present, replace the oil seal with a new part and install the retention plate on the front case.

状況
エンジンフロントケースに装着しているクランクシャフトオイルシールにおいて、フロントケースの加工ばらつき、およびオイルシール圧入量ばらつき等の複合要因により、当該オイルシールの保持力が低下しているものがある。そのため、当該オイルシールが抜け出しエンジンオイルが徐々に漏れ、油圧警告灯が点灯し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、エンジン内部部品が焼付き、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該オイルシール取付部を点検し、オイル漏れが無い場合は、フロントケースにオイルシール抜け止め用プレートを追加装着する。なお、オイル漏れがある場合は、オイルシールを新品に交換するとともに、フロントケースに抜け止め用プレートを追加装着する。
