Defect
The plastic cap securing the fuel pump, gauge unit, and related accessories to the fuel tank is improperly shaped and improperly tightened on some vehicles. Continued use may cause the cap to crack and, in the worst case, a fuel leak may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the cap. Replace any cap showing a crack with the corrected part. Because supply of the corrected part requires additional time, caps with no cracks will be replaced with the corrected part at a later date as an interim measure.

状況
燃料装置の燃料タンクにおいて、燃料ポンプ・ゲージユニット等の付属部品を固定する樹 脂製キャップの形状及び締付に不適切なものがあるため、このままの状態で使用を続ける と、当該キャップに亀裂が生じ、最悪の場合、燃料漏れが発生するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該キャップを点検し、亀裂の発生しているものについてはキャップを対策品と 交換する。なお、対策品の供給に時間を要するため、当面の暫定措置として亀裂の発生し ていないものについては、後日、当該キャップを対策品と交換する。
