Defect
In the engine control computer, the threaded holes for the circuit board mounting screws are machined to an improper shape. Vibration during driving may cause the screws to back out, allowing a loose screw to short circuit the internal electrical circuit and cause engine malfunction. In the worst case, the engine may stall and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the serial number of the affected computer and replace it with a known-good unit.

改善措置
