Defect
These are wheelchair-accessible vehicles converted from standard production vehicles by lowering the rear floor and modifying the suspension. In the brake system, the routing of the rear-wheel brake pipes is improper. When the rear floor is lowered for wheelchair entry or exit, the brake pipe may contact the hydraulic hose used to raise and lower the floor. Repeated floor cycling may damage the brake pipe, causing brake fluid to leak and reducing braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, perform the following: (3) Replace the rear-wheel brake pipes with corrected/revised parts.
