Defect
In the hydraulic booster that multiplies brake pedal effort, the piston cup groove inside the pressure-intensifying cylinder is improperly machined, resulting in insufficient sealing between the piston cup and the piston. When the brake pedal is applied repeatedly, the negative pressure generated draws air between the piston cup and piston, introducing air into the brake fluid. In the worst case, braking force decreases. This recall supplements notification No. 1168, dated July 21, 2004, due to an error in the original vehicle selection; additional vehicles are added under this new filing.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the pressure-intensifying cylinder with a corrected part and replace the brake pipes with new parts.

状況
ブレーキペダルの踏力を倍力するハイドロリックブースタの増圧シリンダ内のピストンにおいて、ピストンカップ溝の加工が不適切なため、ピストンカップとピストンとの気密保持が不十分なものがある。 そのため、ブレーキペダルを繰り返し使用した場合に発生する負圧で、ピストンカップとピストン間より空気が吸い込まれ、ブレーキ液に混入し、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。 本件は、平成16年7月21日付「届出番号1168」にてリコール届出を行ったものですが、対象車の選定に一部誤りがあったため、対象車両を追加して、新たに届出するものです。
改善措置
全車両、増圧シリンダを対策品と交換すると共に、ブレーキパイプを新品と交換する。
