Defect
On diesel engines, the timing chain tension guide—which adjusts tension in the camshaft drive chain—has insufficient strength. Chain resonance may cause the guide to break, producing abnormal noise. In the worst case, fragments of the broken guide become wedged in the sprocket, causing the engine to stall and preventing restart.
Corrective action
Replace the timing chain tension guide on all vehicles with the corrected/revised part.

状況
ディーゼルエンジンにおいて、原動機のカム軸駆動用タイミングチェーンの張力を調整す る部品（テンションガイド）の強度が不足しているため、チェーンの共振により当該ガイ ドが破損して異音が発生し、最悪の場合、当該ガイドの破片がスプロケットにかみ込んで 原動機が停止し、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、テンションガイドを対策品と交換する。
