Defect

Some automatic tensioners that maintain timing belt tension have insufficient vibration damping performance. Continued use causes the tensioner's external spring to fracture and the timing belt to loosen, which in the worst case results in engine stall.

状況

原動機のタイミングベルトの張力を維持する部品(オートテンショナ)において、振動吸 収性能が不十分なものがあり、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、当該オートテンショナ の外部ばねが折損してタイミングベルトが緩み、最悪の場合、原動機が停止するおそれが ある。

改善措置

全車両、当該オートテンショナの形状を確認の上、該当するものは対策品と交換する。
