Issue
The body-side mounting structure of the back door gas stay is improperly designed, allowing the clip that secures the gas stay to the body-side stud ball to loosen. Repeated opening and closing of the back door can cause the gas stay to separate from the stud ball. In the worst case, the gas stay may detach from the body entirely, causing the back door to drop and strike an occupant or bystander.
Corrective action
Inspect the vehicle and gas stay. Any gas stay with an improper mounting structure is replaced with a corrected part. Where corrected parts are temporarily unavailable, a cable tie is applied to reinforce the mounting point as an interim measure, with full replacement to follow when parts are in stock.

状況
ックドアのガスステーにおいて、樹脂製の車体側取付部の構造が不適切なため、ガスステーと車体側スタッドボールを固定するクリップに弛みが生じるものがある。そのため、バックドアの開閉の繰り返しによりガスステーとスタッドボールが分離し、最悪の場合、ガスステーが車体から外れ、バックドアが降下するおそれがある。
改善措置
車両、ガスステーを確認し、構造が不適切なのものは良品と交換する。尚、部品の供給に時間を要することから、良品が不足した場合は、暫定措置として結束バンドで取付部を補強し、後日当該ガスステーを良品と交換する。
