Defect
Terminals inside the electrical connector for the headlights and horn are misaligned on some vehicles. This causes the terminal joints to generate heat and melt the plastic connector. In the worst case, melted plastic fuses to the terminals, causing a poor electrical connection that results in headlight failure and horn malfunction.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add a sub-harness to bridge the affected terminals.
