Defect
In the continuously variable transmission (CVT), the dust-exclusion structure of the shift section is inadequate. Dust accumulation causes the shift section slider to bind, preventing gear ratio changes. In the worst case, if the ratio becomes fixed on the high-speed side, the electromagnetic clutch fails to engage at launch and the vehicle cannot be driven.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the continuously variable transmission with the improved unit.

状況
無段変速機(CVT)において、 ①変速部の防塵構造が不適切なため、ダストにより変速部のスライダが摺動不良となり、変速できなくなることがある。そのため、最悪の場合、高速側で変速が固定された場合には、発進時に電磁クラッチが締結されなくなり、走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、無段変速機を改善品と交換する。
