Defect
The ratchet pawl, which holds the parking brake pedal in the applied position, was improperly machined with an undersized hole bore. This increases sliding resistance when the pawl rotates and, in the worst case, may prevent the parking brake from engaging even when the pedal is fully depressed.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect parking brake pedal operation. If operation is found to be defective, replace the parking brake pedal assembly with a conforming unit.

状況
駐車ブレーキペダルの作動位置を保持するための構成部品であるラチェットポールの穴 加工が不適切なため、穴径が小さいものがある。そのため、ラチェットポール回転時の摺 動抵抗が増大し、最悪の場合、駐車ブレーキペダルを踏んでも駐車ブレーキが作動しなく なるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、駐車ブレーキペダルの作動を点検し、作動不良のあるものは駐車ブレーキペダル 一式を良品と交換する。
