Issue
The collision mitigation brake control program in the driver assistance system is incorrect. As a result, the system may fail to correctly recognize roadside guide posts on curves or the travel direction of oncoming vehicles, causing the system to react with excessive sensitivity to these objects as potential collision targets. This may cause an unintended proximity warning to sound and the collision mitigation brake system to activate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the driver assistance system control program is reprogrammed.
