Defect
On turbocharged vehicles, the engine control computer's fault detection threshold for the intake manifold pressure sensor is set incorrectly. At high altitudes or other low-atmospheric-pressure environments, the system may falsely detect a sensor fault during deceleration. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the engine warning light may illuminate while driving and the electronic stability control system may cease to function.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control computer with the corrected software.

状況
ターボ車のエンジン制御コンピュータにおいて、吸気管圧力センサの異常判定の設定が不適切なため、高地等の気圧の低い環境下で減速した際に誤ってセンサ異常を検出することがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、走行中にエンジン警告灯が点灯するとともに横滑り防止装置が作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御コンピュータのプログラムを修正する。
