Defect
In the power transmission system, the valve body may experience abnormal wear, causing hydraulic fluid to leak. Because the automatic transmission control unit software is incorrectly programmed, the system may fail to properly detect this leak. If the vehicle continues to be operated with an undetected hydraulic leak, the leak may worsen. In the worst case, an unintended clutch engagement may occur, causing a sudden, momentary deceleration.
Corrective action
Because verification of the valve body abnormal wear requires additional time, the automatic transmission control unit software will be reprogrammed to the corrected/updated software on all vehicles. Hydraulic pressure will also be inspected, and if a leak is confirmed, the valve body will be replaced with a new part. Once the root cause of the valve body abnormal wear is identified, further action will be taken as necessary.

状況
動力伝達装置において、バルブボデーが異常摩耗し油圧漏れが発生するものがある。また、油圧漏れが発生した際に、ＡＴ制御コンピュータのプログラムが不適切なため、故障検知を正しく行わないものがある。そのため、油圧漏れを正しく検出できず、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、油圧漏れが大きくなり、最悪の場合、意図せぬクラッチが係合し、一時的に急減速するおそれがある。
改善措置
バルブボデーの異常摩耗の検証に時間を要するため、全車両、ＡＴ制御コンピュータのプログラムを対策プログラムに書き換えるとともに、油圧漏れを点検し、油圧漏れが確認できた場合には、バルブボデーを新品と交換する。なお、バルブボデーの異常摩耗については原因が特定でき次第、必要に応じて措置を講じる。
