Defect
On the electric power steering system, improper assembly of the connector caused some units to be incompletely engaged. If the connector separates due to driving vibration, the warning lamp illuminates and steering effort may increase.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the connector to confirm it is fully and correctly engaged. On vehicles where the connector is not properly engaged, replace the steering gear box with a new unit.

状況
電動パワーステアリングにおいて、ハーネスコネクタの組付け作業が不適切であったため、正しく嵌合されていないものがある。そのため、走行振動等によりコネクタがはずれると警告灯が点灯するとともにステアリングの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、コネクタが正しく嵌合されているか点検する。正しく嵌合されていない車両はステアリングギヤボックスを新品に交換する。
