Defect
During the manufacturing process of the inhibitor switch — which detects shift range position — the replacement criteria for the welding jig were insufficient, resulting in incomplete welding and inadequate sealing on some units. Continued use allows moisture to enter the switch interior, causing contact failure. This may result in difficulty starting the engine or failure of the reverse lamps to illuminate.
Corrective action
Replace the inhibitor switch on all vehicles with a conforming part.

状況
シフトレンジの位置を検知するインヒビタスイッチの製造工程において、溶着治具の交換基準が不適切であったため、溶着が不十分となり、シール性が不足しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けるとスイッチ内部へ水分が浸入することで接触不良が発生し、始動不良や後退灯不点灯に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、インヒビタスイッチを良品に交換する。
