Issue

The bolts securing the rear suspension to the frame are insufficiently torqued. Repeatedly lifting and moving the cargo bed while the vehicle is parked causes these bolts to loosen and, under driving vibration, fall out. If the cargo bed is then lifted in this condition, the upper suspension mounting point separates from the frame attachment, and the top of the suspension may strike and damage the fuel pump, causing a fuel leak.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the rear suspension upper mounting bolts with new parts and tighten them to the newly specified torque value.
