Issue
Improper assembly of the rack bar inside the steering gear box damaged the oil seal within the gear box. Continued use allows the damage to progress, causing an oil leak and, in the worst case, increasing the steering effort required to operate the steering wheel.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the lot number of the steering gear box. On affected units, replace the steering gear box assembly with a non-defective part.

状況
パワーステアリングギヤボックス内のラックバーの組付け作業が不適切なため、ギヤボックス内のオイルシールを損傷させたものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、損傷が進行し、オイルが漏れ、最悪の場合、ハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パワーステアリングギヤボックスのロット番号を確認し、該当するものは、パワーステアリングギヤボックス一式を良品と交換する。
