Issue

In the hydraulic control unit (valve body) of the 4-speed automatic transmission, the stopper plug is made of an inappropriate material. During gear shifts under high hydraulic fluid temperatures—such as those encountered during high-speed or uphill driving—the stopper plug may fracture. This prevents the transmission from maintaining proper hydraulic pressure, causing shift shock and shift malfunctions, and may result in loss of reverse gear.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the valve body. If the stopper plug is a pre-corrected part and has not fractured, add the corrected bracket. If the stopper plug has fractured, replace the valve body with the corrected part.

状況

4速自動変速機の油圧制御装置(バルブボデー)において、ストッパプラグの材質が不適切なため、高速走行や登坂走行等の高油温時の変速動作により、当該ストッパプラグが破損する場合がある。そのため、適正な油圧が保てず、変速ショックや変速不良が発生し、後退不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、バルブボデーを点検し、ストッパプラグが対策前品で破損していない場合は、対策ブラケットを追加する。ストッパプラグが破損している場合は、バルブボデーを対策品と交換する。
