Issue
In the engine, oil was not properly applied to the bolts securing the crankshaft pulley to the crankshaft during assembly, resulting in insufficient clamping force. Continued use under this condition may cause the bolts to loosen and produce abnormal noise. In the worst case, the accessory-drive crankshaft pulley freewheels, disabling the alternator and the power steering hydraulic pump, which illuminates the charge warning light and increases steering effort.
Corrective action
1. Inspect the crankshaft pulley bolts on all vehicles for loosening; on any vehicle where loosening is found, inspect the crankshaft pulley bolt, washer, crankshaft pulley, and sprocket, and replace any damaged components with corrected parts. 2. Retighten the crankshaft pulley bolts on all vehicles to the specified torque.

状況
原動機において、クランクプーリをクランクシャフトに固定するボルトにオイルの塗布が 適切に行われていなかったため、締付け力が不足しているものがあり、その状態で使用を 続けると、当該ボルトが弛み、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、補機駆動用クランクプーリが 空転し、発電機及びパワーステアリング用油圧ポンプが作動しなくなり、充電警告灯が点 灯するとともに、ハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
①全車両、クランクプーリボルトの弛みを点検し、弛みのあるものについてはクランクプ ーリボルト、ワッシャ、クランクプーリ及びスプロケットを点検し、損傷のあるものにつ いては良品と交換する。 ②全車両、クランクプーリボルトを増し締めする。
