Defect
On vehicles not equipped with an automatic headlight leveling system, the waterproofing treatment on unused electrical wiring connectors is inadequate. Water containing snow-melting agents may contact the connector terminals and conduct current, transmitting an incorrect signal to the odometer. As a result, the odometer may fail to accumulate mileage correctly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, cut and seal the affected electrical wiring connector with proper waterproofing treatment.

状況
自動式前照灯照射方向調節装置なし車において、未使用の電気配線コネクタの防水処理が不適切なため、当該コネクタの端子部に融雪剤を含んだ水等が付着して電流が流れることがある。そのため、走行距離計に誤った信号が伝達され、走行距離を正しく積算しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該電気配線のコネクタ部を切断し、防水処理する。
