Defect
In the steering gear box, the pinion shaft retaining nut was improperly machined, causing the nut's clamping force to decrease during service. As a result, the nut gradually loosens. In the worst case, the pinion shaft may pull free, resulting in a complete loss of steering control.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the retaining nut and install an additional anti-loosening clamp on the retaining nut.

状況
かじ取装置のステアリングギヤにおいて、ピニオンシャフト固定用ナットの加工が不適切なため、使用過程において当該ナットの締付力が低下することがある。そのため、当該ナットが徐々に緩み、最悪の場合、ピニオンシャフトが抜けて、ハンドル操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ナットの締付状態を点検し、固定用ナットの緩み防止クランプを追加する。
