Defect
The SSAM (Single Signal detect and Actuation Module) software was developed with insufficient consideration, causing the microcomputer inside the SSAM to repeatedly reset itself upon startup or during operation after incorrectly detecting an internal fault. As a result, the engine may fail to start, fail to restart, or fail to shut off, and electrical components may become inoperative or may activate involuntarily. (The SSAM is a body controller unit that integrates electrical component control and power distribution functions for the cab and body-mounted equipment.)
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the SSAM software with the corrected updated software.

状況
SSAM(Single Signal detect and Actuation Module)において、ソフトウェアの検討が不十分のため、SSAMが起動した際や起動中にSSAM内のマイコンが故障と判断してマイコンがリセットを繰り返すことがある。そのため、エンジンの始動不能、再始動不能、エンジン停止不能、電装品の不作動または強制作動になるおそれがある。(SSAM:キャブ及び架装物の電装品制御と電源分配機能を統合したボディーコントローラー装置)
改善措置
