Defect
In manual transmission light trucks and buses, a defective reverse lamp switch was installed during assembly. Continued use allows the switch to lose the ability to correctly detect reverse gear engagement. As a result, the reverse lamp may fail to illuminate and the backup buzzer may fail to sound when reversing.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the reverse lamp switch. If the switch is determined to be defective, replace it with a conforming reverse lamp switch.

状況
マニュアルトランスミッションを搭載した小型トラック・バスにおいて、不良品の後退灯用スイッチを組付けたため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、後退時の状態を正しく検知出来なくなることがある。そのため、後退時に後退灯が点灯せずバックブザーも鳴らなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後退灯用スイッチを点検し、不良品と判断された場合は、正常品の後退灯用スイッチに交換する。
