Defect

On aluminum tank trucks, the cargo discharge pump mounting bracket and the center bearing bracket connecting the pump drive shafts were designed with insufficient rigidity due to inadequate structural analysis during the design process. Continued use in this condition may cause the pump or drive shaft to detach from the vehicle.

Corrective action

(1) On all vehicles, add reinforcement to the pump bracket. (2) On all vehicles, replace the center bearing bracket with the corrected part. (3) On vehicles requiring an additional pipe securing stay, install the stay. (4) On all vehicles, inspect the piping for cracks; if cracks are found, perform repair work or replace the piping with new parts.

状況

アルミタンクローリの積荷排出用ポンプにおいて、設計時の剛性検討が不十分なため、当該ポンプを取り付けているブラケット、及びポンプの駆動軸同士を連結するセンタベアリングのブラケットの剛性が不足している。このため、そのままの状態で使用を続けるとポンプもしくは駆動軸が脱落するおそれがある。

改善措置

(1)全車両、ポンプブラケットへ補強を追加する。 (2)全車両、センタベアリングブラケットを対策品に交換する。 (3)配管固縛ステーの追加が必要な仕様においては、当該ステーを追加する。 (4)全車両、配管の亀裂有無を確認し、亀裂が確認された場合は補修工事を実施、もしくは配管を新品に交換する。
