Defect
On air dryers fitted to heavy trucks, insufficient consideration was given to noise generated during compressed air discharge, causing some units to exceed the applicable noise limit. As a result, the vehicles may not conform to UN Regulation No. 51.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the air dryer with the corrected/revised part.
