Defect
The spare tire carrier mounted between the axles on refrigerated/freezer trucks was designed with insufficient structural strength. Vibration during vehicle operation may cause the carrier to crack and, in the worst case, fracture and separate from the vehicle, allowing the carrier and spare tire to fall onto the roadway and obstruct other traffic.
Corrective action
Inspect the spare tire carrier on all affected vehicles. Where cracks are found, replace the carrier with the current production part as an interim measure. A permanent corrective measure will be implemented as soon as it is determined.

状況
冷蔵冷凍車のホイールベース間に取付けたスペアタイヤ取付装置において、強度設計が不適切なため、当該取付装置の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、走行時の振動等により当該取付装置に亀裂が生じ、最悪の場合、破断してスペアタイヤ取付装置及びスペアタイヤが脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
対象車両のスペアタイヤ取付装置を点検し、亀裂があるものは暫定対策として現行品のスペアタイヤ取付装置に交換する。 なお恒久対策が決定次第、速やかに恒久対策を実施する。
