Defect
On van-type wing-body vehicles, the cylinder bottom bracket mounting section on the front cylinder used to open and close the cargo body has insufficient strength. Repeated opening and closing of the cargo body may cause cracks to develop at the mounting section. If operation continues in this condition, the bracket mounting section may fracture, making it impossible to open or close the wing body.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the cylinder bottom bracket mounting section for cracks. On vehicles with no cracks, add a mounting bracket retainer, bottom pin stay, and header reinforcement, and replace the bottom pin with a new part. On vehicles where cracks are found, repair the cracked area by welding, then add a mounting bracket retainer, bottom pin stay, and header reinforcement, and replace the bottom pin with a new part.

状況
バン型ウイング車の荷台を開閉するための前部シリンダーにおいて、シリンダーボトムブラケット取付部の強度が不足してるため、繰り返し荷台を開閉すると、取付部に亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、その状態で開閉を繰り返すと、当該ブラケット取付部が破断し、ウイングの開閉ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、シリンダーボトムブラケットの取付部の亀裂の有無を確認し、亀裂がないものは、取付ブラケット押さえ、ボトムピンステー、ヘッダー補強を追加し、ボトムピンを新品に交換する。また、亀裂がある場合は、亀裂部を溶接にて補修し、取付ブラケット押さえ、ボトムピンステー、ヘッダー補強を追加し、ボトムピンを新品に交換する。
