Defect
Insufficient design consideration for routing variation in the starter electrical wiring has allowed the wiring to contact the edge of the cross member on some vehicles. Continued use causes vibration during driving to wear through the wiring insulation. In the worst case, a short circuit in the wiring may result in a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reroute the starter electrical wiring. If damage to the wiring is found, repair or replace it with a new part.

状況
スタータ電気配線において、配索ばらつきの設計検討が不十分なため、クロスメンバのエッジ部と干渉しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると走行時の振動等で当該配線の被覆が損傷し、最悪の場合、配線の短絡により火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スタータ電気配線の配索を変更する。なお、当該配線に損傷が認められる場合は補修または新品に交換する。
