Defect
On large trucks, the bracket of the side-hung spare tire carrier was designed with insufficient strength. Driving vibration and related stresses cause cracks to form in the bracket. Continued use allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, the spare tire may detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
Replace the spare tire carrier bracket on all vehicles with the corrected part.

状況
大型トラックの横吊り式スペアタイヤキャリヤのブラケットにおいて、強度設計が不適切なため、ブラケットの強度が不足しており、走行振動等によりブラケットに亀裂が生じるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、スペアタイヤが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スペアタイヤキャリヤのブラケットを対策品に交換する。
